I think medical apparatuses are some of the scariest things.
My dog is currently being examined by a blood pressure monitor (AKA the Devil’s Machine if you ask me) because we have to check his bp every once in a while to make sure it isn’t too high.
But I really dislike it as 1. It reminds me that my dog isn’t going to live forever which I suppose is just part of being a pet owner (thankfully he is still rather healthy now), and more importantly, 2. Many people end up attached to weird beeping machines and tubes and stuff and just thinking about all that medical equipment being on my body or seeing someone connected to all that seems really depressing and makes this deep-sinking feeling in my gut.
